This smoothie is protein packed. With nuts, seeds, fruit and dairy it is loaded with good nutrition and very filling.
Prepare this when you need breakfast on the go, or as a post exercise protein boost.
These are great as an after school food option for kids too. My children come home from school starving and a smoothie is a good way to fill them up and keep them going until dinner.
This makes two large serves, or you can stretch it to three smaller glasses.
- 1 banana (I like to use a frozen banana as it makes the smoothie nice and cold)
- 60g frozen or fresh blueberries
- 1 Tbsp chia seeds
- 1 Tbsp pepita seeds
- 30g almonds
- 70g (1/3 cup) natural yoghurt
- 250g milk
- Place all ingredients into mixer bowl (or powerful blender) and combine speed 8, 30 seconds.
